I have V&H dresser duals with CFR’s on a 2012 road king. I had lost allot of torque and most back pressure, I installed the big city thunder QQ baffles and gained the torque and back pressure back, they also quietened the CFR’s down, I would say 10-15% reduction. The baffles did make them a little deeper sound. I love the CFR’s without the baffles around town but on real long rides the constant volume of the CFR’s was hard for us. They quietened down real nice at highway speeds which helped for the long rides.

How hard were THE QQ baffles to instal. I am thinking of doing this mod. Thunder stated i have to drill a hole in my header pipe and I'm not thrilled about drilling my Vance and Hines header.

Thanks

i've got the s&s power tune dual head pipe with cfr's. I installed the bct monster baffles in the end of my head pipe. this is the 3rd bike i've run the bct's in and they do work. I can't comment on the change they made with the cfr's because I put them in the head pipe when I did my stage 1 and didn't put everything on without them in the head pipe. I know they do what they are supposed to from previous experience and that's why i purchased them again. My bike pulls hard and runs like it should. I was afraid of the torque loss everyone refers to with the cfr's so that's why i went with the bct's right from the start. for 79 bucks you can't beat them.

Reply i received from Big City Thunder (i have dresser duals):

application for your system would be our head pipe installation. The
baffle part number 2003 would mount NOT in the muffler but in the exit end
of the head pipe where the muffler slips on.

So you decided to go with the QQ series. Have you installed them yet? If so, how did they work out for you?

Well I did and not impressed so far bike runs hotter and well..I'll ride a couple more time maybe then if it continues... i'll take them out.. now that i drilled a hole in the header pipe I.m not to happy.... they are quieter, more than i expected or was informed but that is subjective unless u have a decibel gauge ......I think the end header installation with the QQ 1625 is like having the cat in so runs hot like that BWDIK

Sorry to hear that. The QQ models have more restriction due to the cone, try cutting the cone off and see if you like it without. That may do the trick for you.
