Default Need rear shock info for 15 RoadGlide Special please

I have a 15 Road Glide Special. It has the adjustable rear shock, not the air ones.
It has a harsh ride and bottomes out (Im 6'3").

I was looking at the HD premium shocks in the normal (longer) size.

Im I right in assuming I have the shorter shocks like a Street Glide would have from the factory?

Im I also right that the only difference in these shocks and my stockers is that they are about an inch longer?

I know there are some very good aftermarket options out there but I don't want to spend 1K+ on a set of shocks.

The HD premium longer shocks are only $550.00, I can handle that.

So...is it worth it to do this shock swap or should I just wait until I can afford $1000.00 plus for rear shocks?

Thanks for your time,

Varooom

Highly recommend Ohlins from Motorcyclemetal... You get a forum discount too... Have them on my '14 Limited $775 to my door... Prices are much lower than advertised on site and some shocks he sells are not shown... Fill out the form and Howard will call you and discuss options with you and price... I am a very satisfied customer...

The 13" shock springs look to be larger.I have read that many with the 12" shocks don't like them.I put the 13" shocks on My Limited.Air shocks would bottom out all the time.Very happy with the Premium hand adjustable shocks.

I had the same issues, but I'm a Ohlins *****... Split the difference between the HD premiums and the 1k cost of the list price and get Howard to set up a pair of Ohlins 2.5s to your specs. It's a day 'n night difference in the ride.

That's what I got basically a 6 series minus the external reservoir or an adjustable 2 series...13 1/4" with longest travel available from Ohlins...
