Default Road Glide Ultra Thoughts

Was talking with someone today who's thinking of a new RGU - he mentioned about the twin cooling it has. I read about it when they were released but it didn't really click until he mentioned it............Anyone find it interesting that in the Electra Glide line, only the LTD and CVO models get twin cooling while it seems like RG line a regular Ultra gets twin cooling and presumably a LTD version would also.

The RG Ultra is the top non CVO RG line. Just as the
LTD is top of the non CVO batwing line. Thus it gets the Twin Cooled Motor also. I bet they will introduce it into other touring bikes as time goes on. The lower fairings being non detachable is the hold up. I don't see a RG LTD being introduced but you can make your own.

Prolly won't be either. An RGU Low most likely next year. Mo-Co will keep the Ultra Classic non water cooled for the traditionalists.

Thought about that a lot, would not trade my LTD for a non twin cooled any thing but the moco has made it tuff with the RGU. Thought I was a bat wing guy-turns out I'm a bat eating shark. Only prob now is to wait for the 17 low or not? Probably it's a not..

With all the touring bikes getting the narrow primary, all you really need is lowered suspension - seems most don't like the reach seat anyway.

While I really don't like the regular road glide, I really like the looks of Road Glide ultra in that Bullet Silver/Vivid black. As far as the dual cool, I'm glad I went with the a/c. YMMV

The traditionalists boat sank, when they stuck a hole in the fairing and generally uglied up the bike. I was washing my bike tonight , and still think it has way nicer details and styling than the Rushmores. If I ever buy a new bike it will probably be a Road King or a Road Glide, as I detest the new Batwings.

4 RG's two of them have been RGU's the 2011 the first year for the RGU and a 2013.
Tomorrow I will be looking to trade the 2013 for a 2016 RGU.
Going with the Superior Blue. The other colors and the way they did them just did not work for wife and I so Blue it is.
It is time and I want:
The liquid cooled exhaust ports
The Rushmore bags and tour pack
The linked brakes
The heavier front end
The info- center and redesigned faring. ( I did not have any issue with the other faring)
