After completing the stage 1, installing Terry Cable rear shocks, cutting 2 " from seat foam, installing a 12"windvest and installing hwy pegs I have to say this bike is awesome.

I have loved my Special for the last couple of months. Cant see riding anything else. They do have a lot of power, caught myself over 100 on the ride to work one morning, didn't even realize it. Stage 1 wakes them up. Next on my list is Custom Dynamics signals, then maybe a tour pack.

I had my RGS for three days, only two rides, and did a Ride Like a Pro course on it. LOVE this bike.

I'm a shorty (5'1") so a super low reduced reach seat and 10.5" Burly Bagger shocks put my feet close to flat. It's a stiff ride with the short shocks for sure, but I just try to avoid big bumps (sometimes unavoidable on MA roads though). Front was also lowered 1".

For sure need a new windshield, highway pegs, and a driver backrest (luggage rack too), but I'm keeping the exhaust stock. After having V&H Short Shots on my Slim, I want to keep my hearing...

Nothing rides like a Road Glide!

I put the Custom Dynamics LED signals front and back. They're eye-popping!

I've had mine less than two months, and I'm already coming up on 6,000 miles.

The handling is mind-boggling.

I think I was wrong about the bar sizes. I think the stock bars are 8", the RGU bars are 10" and the Tall Boy bars are 12". My next mod will be the 12's.

I'm jealous of the RGU owners but I got a smokin deal on my 15 RGS!

My boss who use to ride an Ultra Classic asked me to describe what my now Road Glide Ultra rides like.

I told him it's like riding a 800 pound 103 cubic inch comfortable Crotch Rocket that feel like it only weighs 400 pounds plus all the electronics and a stereo from a Lincoln.

P.S. Just passed a 1000 miles

Bingo.

It really does feel like a bagger sportbike. You just think about going around a curve and you're through it. Honestly, at first you have to be careful not to dive below the fog line.
