Garage door opener??
2014 Street Glide Special. Purchased a new HD opener kit. Several issues. First I hooked up the transmitter under the fairing. Found a Keyed hot wire and hooked the orange/white wire to it. Hooked the black wire to a ground screw and the white (I think) but the remaining wire to the blue/white wire on the high beam harness. When I try and program the unit I can't transmitter LED to flash per the instructions. bought the harness that mounts under the left side cover. It might be me but WAY to difficult to route up towards the battery. I have been searching for help with no luck. The one thing I do see as a possible problem is I have a Liftmaster opener. But I would think when wired properly the transmitter and the receiver would talk to each other (flash the light on transmitter) Tried it program starting with the key off as instructions state. See as it is wired to a keyed hot wire I tried programing with key on... no luck

I just got this on my 14. Do you have a newer lift master opener? If so you will need to go to creative access solutions and buy one of his products. He makes a small box that you put inline or he has a blue tooth one that makes the newer lift masters work with the HD opener. If works great and is around 50 bucks. I had no issue get myine to program and have been using it for about 3 weeks now. Steve is his name and he is super helpful.

I had a similar problem getting the LED to 'light up' when I hit the momentary hi-beam OR the actual high-beam.
Two things...
ensure your wiring is correct using a meter... high-beam activated. you get the voltage.
The wiring is THIN... I had intermittent connection issue using HD crimps. I used heat shrink and soldered my connections on the the switched hot wire and posi-tap on the high-beam wire....
Been running with no issues since I did this in Sep.

Here's the 3 connections I made on my '15 Limited Low...
White wire to the headlight plug (blue/white)...
Yellow wire to the cig lighter plug hot side (blue/violet)...
Ground wire to radio chassis...
Works perfectly, no need to run wires back to the battery or accessory harness.
ROCKOUTS! Copied, but never equaled!

This is me... I removed the transmitter (working) from my '12 but have had no luck in getting the light to work on the '16. Darn IT!
