Default Anyone using the HD tank bra ?

I've noticed that after 10K miles on my CVO that my jeans and winter riding pants are chaffing and putting fine scratches on the sides of my fuel tank. I'm considering the HD tank bra. It says it has a fleece backing. Any issues with debris, dust, dirt, ect getting under the bra and causing more issues than I currently have ?

I have been using a bra since 2006 - got it when I noticed the fine scratches on my 2004.

When I got my 2011, used the same bra and again on my 2014. In my opinion, the bra saves me from all the scratches. Just make sure you take it off when washing the bike. Also, if in a soaking rain, once out of it, please allow the bra to dry.

I will continue to use it.

Have you considered clear 3M adhesive plastic patches to protect the paint? Tankslapper.com sells it and also other types of paint protection products pre-cut & ready to install.

I might try it on mine.

3M film is available on Amazon too, cut it to whatever size you need, hardly noticeable except for close up.
Anything but a bra!

I had a bunch of parts covered with this by a guy who does it for a living (Fairing, front of bags, lower fairing, top of rear fender, tank, side panels, bag tops). He also did my wife's bike. The stuff is great. I have had in on a car for 10 years and no rock chips.

Never used a tank brea, but am considering getting one for the same reason. The vivid black really shows the marks from my jeans.

I will tell you that I have neen using the lid bras now for over a year (old ride) and I did put a set on my new one. I haven't had any issues with scratching, but I do remove them a few times a year and wax the sh*t out of them to give some extra protection from the covers.

Those that have one on, post a pic or 2.

Tank Bras eat paint get hi-end wax, and use it monthly.

I used the bra on my 2011, dulled the paint pretty bad.

The fine marks from your jeans WILL buff out easier than the scuffs from the bra in my experience.
