Stage costs and numbers

Stage costs and numbers
I was looking at adding 777 cams and head work, but now I'm thinking I might stick with Harley and do stage 3,4, or maybe 5 tire stredder so I can keep my warranty ( 4 yrs left ).I realize the aftermarket parts are better pound for pound as for as hp/tq, but with 4 yrs of warranty I'm interested in keeping it. I'm wondering what you guess paid and dyno numbers you got with different stages? One of the many dealers around Houston said around $2000 for stage 3 (259 or 585 cams, pistons , more parts, labor, and dyno. He says mids 90s hp/low 100s tq. I though that was kinda week since I'm already at 84+/105+ with stage1. So 10hp and 5tq for 2 grand. I know some guys running 57h or 777's only r get better numbers. How did going though harlet work for yall?

I got the bolt on 110 kit stage 3. I paid 2200 Canadian so like 1600 American for parts. I already had the bike ripped apart for powder coat so labour was basically free. I'm like you I'm not paying for a new bike to lose the warranty to gain an extra 5 foot pounds. As for your dealer his numbers look awful low.

I was the same school of thought.. Bought the stage 4 kit... After a year of an under-performing bike. I got smart and took it to Scott..
Wise old man once said if you are gonna build a muscle car and are worried about the warranty.... You can't afford the muscle car....
Why wasn't grandpa around to remind me this when I started playing with Harleys

Apes only come into factor during hwy . The wind on my chest resulting in hanging on to keep myself on puts a toll on my arms after a solid hour. If you go apes, city no problem with run and gun. Hwy, I'd recommend a windshield or something to break the wind if you commute for long periods.
