Default Differences between 2016 RGU and EGU limited

I am looking at replacing my 2011 RKC with one or the other.

The 11 RKC is limited in storage, wind protection and seat comfort. I know I can "fix" all of these items but really wish to upgrade to the rushmore engine.

Black to black there's ~1600 between the 2. Why is the RGU ~50#s heavier?

I am trying to understand the differences other than the obvious such as fairing style. What amenities are different? What would be accessories on the RGU but are standard on the Limited?

Do either have an on board compressor for the suspension?

Thanks

Rich

The Ultra Limited will have heated grips unless it is the "low version".
It will also have a CB radio as part of the infotainment system.

The Road Glide Ultra and Electra Glide Ultra do not have heated grips or CB

I "think" the wheels are different also.

The differences I can come up with off the top of my head.

1) Limited has communication system with headset ports for rider and passenger.
2) Limited has CB
3) Limited has Auxiliary Front Lamps
4) The impeller wheels are contrast chrome on a Limited.
5) Limited has Rear speakers on the tour pack
6) Limited has heated grips

In addition to the obvious differences like fairing and front fender

That's odd, I saw one that did not have them. I checked again when I saw it to see if it was a RGU. When I got home I looked on the website and it said stock was 2 speakers. I'll have to look again. Thanks

Edit, just looked again http://m.harley-davidson.com/#bikes/fltru/specs

If you go to infotainment, it shows 2 speakers and the picture on the 16 RGU page doesn't look like they have them either.

That confusing!

All the ones I've seen have speakers in the rear pods.

Just have a look there are several differences (1) notable is the RGU has a taller seat but less ground clearance, it appears that speakers in the rear on the RGU is an upgrade.

Compared to the Ultra Limited...

The RGU does not have:
CB
Heated grips
Painted inner fairing
Chrome wheels

The RGU does have;
Rear speakers
Front/rear headset ports (includes 1 headset)
Intercom
Twin Cooling
LED headlights
Awesome looks*
Better low speed handling than EG's*
Better wind cutting capabilities EG's*

According to the H-D published specs, the RGU is 50 pounds heavier than the Ultra Limited

CB and heated grips can be added to the RGU.

* IMHO

I think it must be p&a upgrade, the pics on RollaMo post has communications switches.

Maybe you get rear speakers with the communications option

According to hd website, RGU has communication ports as an upgrade and not standard.

Also Limiteds are a color matched inner fairing only if your bike is vivid black. The Limiteds have a black painted inner, where ultras have the dull finish molded inner fairing
