Default 103HO crank question

I have read somewhere that HD tightened the tolerances on the newer cranks for the scissoring issues and does anyone have anymore more info on this? Thanks

I used to see a lot of them in 07-08. Not so many these days.

I do have an 09 with excessive runout at work I need to break down and a 2014 that is going back to the moco.

That is what my local dealership owner told me. The primary issue was with 07 and 08 models. During those years it was way too common, part of why I traded in my 07 CVO Ultra.

Was the way parts were cleaned before being pressed together affecting 07 and early 08 TC96 cranks.

Rode the crap out of my 07 UC I mean really rode that bike like a hot rod for 100K miles new rear tire every 5 to 6K miles and it was crazy motor still when I traded it in few other issues but none with the bottom end.

Moco increased the run out spec from .004 to .014, that's how they fixed the problem. The cranks still have excessive run out (mostly from sloppy assembly) but now its within spec.
