Default Question about passenger footboards

I just installed passenger footboards onto my '15 CVO Street Glide this afternoon. I used the black mount kit, 50500042 and the Airflow footboard kit. Overall, the install went just fine, but when looking at the results, it appears as though the right footboard is angled in toward the bike a bit. I can't tell why it might be that way. Nothing is askew on the mount to the frame, and both mounts appeared identical before I installed them, the instructions don't say there is a right or a left.

It's not a big deal, I'm probably the only person who will notice, especially since they will either be up, or have a foot on them, but has anyone had a similar result?

I attached a photo, be curious to know if anyone else has run into this...

They are not supposed to be that way.

Agree should not be that way. Two friends with Limited CVO come with rear boards not like that at all. Ask Dealer to replace.

Thanks guys. FYI, the CVO Limited has a complete different mount than the simple black one I just got.

I thought about just swapping the sides to see if that helped, but I think the brackets are the same, I looked at them a lot before I installed them.

I'm sure this will turn into another pain in the a...

Could the foot board brackets be reversed (left/right)? On the SGS they are two different part numbers. Never tried it to see if it made a difference or if you can even reverse them. Just a thought.

They can be, the instructions show a single part number for both parts and no mention of a left or right side...

You would think that would mean that the bracket on the other side would be angled away from the bike, but maybe...

Mine appear to be the same way, not sure if it's not just an optical illusion because of the exhaust.

Aggressor,

That's pretty much the way mine look on both sides.
