Default Detachable tour pack rattles

Anybody found a way to tighten down the detachable tour pack? Mine rattles terribly on bumpy roads. I thought it was something inside or the speakers or something but I can put upward pressure on the back of the tour pack and there is a little bit of play at the rear mounts. Not enough that it's not secure but enough for it to rattle on the mount. It's all the way down, the latches are clicked in, just noisy. I prefer riding with it on anyway so I'll probably put the factory one back on. Just wondering if someone knows something about adjustment on it.

The mounting point cams are not round. They are actually oblong and have a mark on them. When the mark is at the horizontal position the cams are at the loosest (narrowest) position. At the vertical position they will be at the tightest (widest) position.
Step 9 and Figure 1 illustrates this.

Hope this helps!

Wow Timbo. Thanks a million, I had no idea about this adjustment. I just checked the installation sheet that came with the kit and it says nothing about this. These instructions are different from mine. I'll definitely remove the tour pack from the mounting bracket to make it less cumbersome while I fine tune this. Thanks again.

Your welcome. It can be pretty annoying having a rattling tour pack.
When I have my solo tour pack setup on I adjust it to the tightest it will go with tour pack mounted. I do this because it makes it impossible to remove (can't turn the latches off the mounting cams) as the HD detach locks don't work with the solo setup.

Well I spent hours fiddling with that mount and when I was able to get it remotely tight enough to stop just about all the movement, I was then unable to operate the latches. So I through in the towel and just put the factory mount back on and left the license plate mount that came with the kit. If I ever decide to ride without the tour pack it's just four bolts to remove it. Since I prefer the feel and handling of the bike with the tour pack on, I doubt that will happen often.
