Default Premium hand adjustable shocks

Been thinking about changing my air shocks as it seem like I am hitting pretty hard on rough roads.

What are the opinions here on these? I know I'm going to get a bunch of people telling me to get ohlins, or some other very expensive option. . . I can find better ways to spend that kind of money.

Seems to be $200-$250 is the going rate for a set of take offs.

So, in a nutshell, are these better than the stock air shocks that came on my 15 RG Standard? Is it worth the $ to upgrade?

Default They're great!

Get a set - they're great. I've had mine for a year or so now and the ride has improved out of sight compared to the stock air shocks I had. You won't regret the change. Don't know how they compare to more expensive options like OHLINS but the HD hand adjustable Premium shocks are good value for the money.

If your going to get a set, get the 13" version.

I replaced the 12" air shocks on my previous Street Glide with the 13" version of the Premium Hand Adjustable Shocks.
Night and Day difference on ride quality.

When I traded the Street Glide for the Limited, I kept the Hand Adjustable shocks and installed them on the new bike.

The Premium Hand Adjustable Shocks are better than the air shocks.
But the 12" versions (air or premium) suffer more due to the limited suspension travel.

I have had the 12" on my Ultra for 15k...still like em.
Air came off around 300 miles. Keeps the rear tire planted very well.

I had a set and they were plenty good. I picked up a used set for 250 or so. Used them till I scored a set of ohlins for 400 and then resold the HD for 250 again. Didn't cost me anything for a better ride until I found a good deal on some higher end shocks.
