I'm have the same feeling on my FLHR. I'm not really complaining about the stiffness per se, but what annoys me is this "stalling point". I've read on the forums that this was "normal" and I was ok with it, until I rode my buddy's Street Glide Special and his clutch felt like BUTTER.
Now, the only difference between our bikes to my knowledge is that his has has the 1k mile service, mine does not seeing as I'm currently at 900 miles. I wasn't trying to go to the dealership for the service, but I will if they adjust my clutch correctly.

Now that I've had it a week, I've made a few observations -
The lever, as delevered by the dealer was turned too low on the bars. Rotating the lever up a bit gave me more leverage and has helped a lot with the issue.
The 'stumble' on take off seems to maybe be compounded by the fact that the rear cylinder is cut off at idle, so if you don't get he RPMs right when you start moving again, it seems like you are trying to take off on one cylinder. You can kind of feel when the rear cylinder comes back to life, and it's after the stumble.
ABS linked braking has an odd feel. The bar mounted brake lever controls the front AND rear brakes all the way down to 25mph. At 25mph you can feel the brakes unlink which make the rear pedal let go some. Until you get used to it, it feels a little spooky.
Minor differences aside, I really do like this bike...now it's time to work on the right side heat issues!

1st Gear
Great thread, I have a 16 SGS and noticed that right away. Feels like you are starting in 2nd gear. I have EITS disabled as I put catless header on and it runs cooler, still have issue with stalling point. While I have gotten used to it, would make tight turning like through cones or figure 8s difficult as you don't have torque where you need it without rolling throttle. My only complaint with the bike..
