Default Auxiliary Device Connector vs Data Link Connector

I have been scowering the interent for clarification on this, as well as visiting my local dealer, but so far cannot find the correct solution. So I joined this forum hoping for some expert knowledge!

I have a 2015 FLHR. When I did my stage 1 I purchased a FP3, which connects to the DLC under my left cover. The service manual appears to state that the 6 PIN grey connector is the ADC and the 8 PIN white connector is the DLC. Multiple online refrerences state that this is a long known misprint and that it is opposite. I hooked to FP3 into the grey connector and it worked fine so I didn't really look into it further.

Recently I purchased the Handlebar Mount Auxiliary Power Port (Part Number 69200855). This accessory has the same grey 6 pin connector that my FP3 uses so I cannot have them both hooked up. I assumed the aux power adapter would use the other white connector, but it does not.

My main question is how would I connect both of these at the same time? Is there an adapter to go from grey 6 PIN to the white 8 PIN? Is the white connector really the ADC or is my FP3 using that port?

Thanks in advance!

This thread should help you identify which plug is which.

When I added accessories I used this connector to get the power under the seat. It is a 8 pin white connector that plugs into bike. I believe the other end is a 4 pin connector. So in short I have no idea lol

I think the power port you bought isn't for the Touring family. Even though Road King is listed.

Here's what you need - http://www.fuelmotousa.com/i-2092192...ble-6-pin.html.

Not sure why Harley doesn't make one. The problem is that the Road King uses the six pin aux pwr port. All of the other touring bikes use the eight pin adapter for aux power.

Good to know I did not know that. Seems kind of stupid they don't use what the rest of the touring family does.

Hi croiad,

I would be grateful if you could let me know whether the Y-cable did the trick? I also need to connect my Aux Power & FP3 simultaneously.

Cheers
