Well, I saw a 107 bike today...

Not saying anyone is wrong for the criteria they use. I've never understood the fascination with the "Harley" sound. All i've concerned myself with any motorcycle I've owned is it either sounded like it was running as designed, or sounded like something needed attention.
Never spend a dime or a minute of effort for "louder". Smooth idle appeals to me, shaking doesn't. Potato Potato Potato is good in a pot roast. Looks for me is function over form.
I'm down for one if the overall experience add up to a ride that is appreciably better than what I have now.

From Behind - I share your opinion - sometimes people like different things.
I see you lifted a part of my comments about the 15s being ugly. In fairness, I think you should add that such was not really my opinion as the rest of the verbiage shows this was only said in an attempt to help the poster realize that comments like this hurts.
With this in mind - if you don't like skinny women and blonds look bad - then, such might be a comment that you keep to yourself if you met my wife. Imagine - your coming to my house, meeting my wife and saying. Wow, you are disgusting and look bad. I am certain you would be kindly asked to leave and never invited again.

OK, cycle7447 - I'm sorry if I hurt you. And, anybody else - if you were hurt by anything that I said, I'm sorry.

From Behind - nope, a;; is OK. I was not implying that something you said was hurtful.
My intent was simply to imply what your mother always told you. If you can't say something nice - then perhaps it is best to say nothing.
Welcome New Member Richkidman - nope, I don't need a "safe place". Perhaps I am fortunate enough to have lived a number of years - and while not sensitive to issues, I am simply considerate of some.
Welcome new member Haz.You could not be more right - the one thing constant about change is change is constant.

Everyone tastes are different and we usually make our bike "our own" however we want it, end of story.
Just don't ever ask me what I think about the big 20+" rims lol
Well I'm glad to hear that, I don't have to even think about how you plan on coming 2 hours North to try and take my woman, who's a petite blonde! rofl
Although if I let her read your post, she'd finally have a use for that baseball bat she keeps just-in-case.
I'm headed to the dealer next to check out the 17's.

Having read all of the posts in this thread, I see a few things.
The new engine is a huge departure from twin cams
It runs smoothly and has more torque
Everyone doesn't like the appearance and/or sound
Seems pretty normal for a brand new design to not appeal to a lot of folks
As a Harley engine builder, I think new technology is inevitable, and I can't wait to get my hands on a 2017.
There is no such thing as a tamper proof ECM. Someone will crack it. And soon
The other thing I got out of this is that there are some people who don't have enough smarts or respect for others so they resort to ugly comments about the bike or women. Come on guys keep it respectful
