2015 Limited performance issue question

If they did the 5000 on it...
I had them put the syn in at the 1000. Thanks to this forum and a good mech I figured out I made a mistake. They did my 5000 and told me to try the Redline stuff in the trans. I was making noise at 2000-5000 miles. Comp sounded real bad. N was impossible to find at times. Sound went away and bike made alot less noise as to pretend it was was running better. Just an after thought for ya!

Sounds like you learned a valuable piece of information without them doing any actual damage to your bike - unlike many others.
Congrats on that, ya lucked out and got off easy!

No,not really. If the SOP for bike safety during service is to remove the + or - cable, and this resets the computer which will reboot to default settings, what do you want them to do? Go through and set everything to your personal preference? I mean, you have to have some skin in the game for setting up your bike preferences to the way that you like, right?
However I would have thought that the service people would have thought to mention the EITMS having defaulted to "on" to the OP when he complained, instead of just blowing him off...

i hear you but I would think that when I brought it back they would have known what was causing the issue. I am not blaming the tech, I was just surprised that they didn't figure it out when I brought it back. the guys on here knew it immediately without even seeing the bike. The GM of the dealership called me today and apologized. he admitted that they are having problems getting their service dept up to snuff. he handled it well..
