Default Air shock pressure started bleeding down

My '15 Limited has started to slowly lose air pressure in the rear shocks with around 8000 total miles on it. It takes a few days to reach zero from ~20 PSI. It used to hold pressure for weeks.

No observed shock-oil leaks - yet.

Is there a "usual" place to start looking for a slow leak? The pump connector valve on the bike doesn't seem to be leaking, but so far that's all I've checked.

Thanks in advance for any and all opinions and info.

JP

Check the seating of the air lines at the shocks. I had one that walked backwards just enough to become a slow leaker. Drove me nuts. My dealer found it using a soap/water solution in a small spray bottle.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll check all the fittings today!

Ride safe,

Take the tubes out and recut ends with a razor blade. Mine were somewhat crushed. They need to be round to seal good

Mine just started doing the same thing. Lost 10 lbs in 24 hours. I'll go check air lines this afternoon.

yeah, now that they don't use crush fittings on the end of the air lines, it's way to easy for them to work loose.

Yeah, it would be a warranty thing - IF I was willing to let some brain-dead dealer "tech" touch my bike, which ain't ever gonna happen!

Thanks, though. I'll be going over all the fittings soon to see if I can find and fix it myself.

Thanks again and ride safe,

JP

If you do, use a brand new box blade and make sure the cut is straight. Ya want to cut like a guillotine straight downwards. Not saw through it. otherwise it'll leak worse'n my ex 'ol lady after hitting Gunners at Sturgis.
