Default Fluid in Speedo and Tach.

At about 1500 miles my wife and I were riding our '15 ultra limited low on a cool day and a clear liquid slowly ran down on the inside of my gauges. Has anyone else had this problem? It has since dried but you can see the streaks when the sun hits it just right.

After I washed my 16 RGS that problem arrived.....I can still see the water streaks inside the glass....plus the last digit on the odometer is fading away....to the dealer I go!

Had the same issue over the summer, looked like there was fog in them. Went away a few days later. Seems to be a common thing.

It is on the glide gauges. I haven't had it happen on the 2016 yet and I haven't seen in on the CVO speedo on my 2010 but my 09 glide did that all the time.

I seem to remember someone saying they had the gauges changed out under warranty, gotta check with your dealer. Mine ('14 LTD) has it too but I live with it, don't want them ripping apart my dash and fairing, if it gets worse maybe.

Edit: Post #49, had his gauges changed out for the second time- https://www.hdforums.com/forum/new-r...-20-3-a-5.html

On my 2016 SGS, I had the problem with just the speedo.Dealer stated they had to confirm problem to warranty. I rigged up a light shining on the speed at just the right angle and after about a 1/2 hr fiddling with it I got the residue inside the lens to show.I then took several pictures and returned to dealer who then ordered me a new cluster under warranty. My previous touring bikes had moisture inside the lens, and I lived with that, but this was a different residue inside the lens like OP described.
