Default 23" wheel

When upgrading the front wheel on the bikes with abs are people still having issues? Is the Thunder-Max still the only option? I know some people got away with changing the rear tire out for running 21" wheel. I apologize if this is beating a dead horse.

I have a 21" Avon Cobra tire on my 2016 FLHXS; it came with the correct bearings and I have no issues. Got my package from Eastern Performance. The rim is made by Renegade.

Some found using a Dunlop tire on the front 21" wheel didn't throw the ABS - others (like myself) found that using a different tire (Commander II) did throw the ABS code.
For a 23" wheel - you'll need the Thunder Maxx - if I remember, if you exceed more than a 10% difference in size between front & rear tire you will throw the ABS code

Performance machine wheels have something in the bearings that adjust for the wheel size so there are no issues with calibration at all. No thundermax device needed at all on their wheels. Mine is 23" performance machine.

Arlen Ness make specific wheel size ABS bearings check it out...

but some wheel manufactures and or sellers ask if you have ABS now and will have the correct ABS Bearing for the wheel...nothing else needed.

the adjustment is in the spacing of the trigger wheel in the bearing to adjust for wheel speed for the size of the wheel.
