Not into the black it out thing. On my 2013 RGU that was red I did use black to change it.
Went with Black HD nightstick exhaust, black heat shields. Black spoiler lights on the bags and black luggage rack. It worked IMO. But to just blackout the whole bike no.

OK, since you asked ;

On a red machine, black contrast looks as classy as it gets.

On a whisky amber bike like mine, chrome ***** all the way.

Opinions are like derrieres, I realize, but IMHO the old idea that chrome looks best against black/dark colors is,, "old". Chrome on light colors makes the whole thing pop and black/dark contrasts on dark looks classy.

The blacked out bikes I have seen look great. That said, murdered-out bikes and cars is a fad that, like most fads, will look awesome until the fad passes. And then it will look dated. For most folks, that is not a problem, since we tend to change our bikes like some women change hair color.

I say get the blacked out parts you like and keep your chrome ones to change up the look as your wants change.

Ride safe!
