when you install the new update does it change any of your personal settings like the screen color or how you have it set up ?

Maybe I got ahead of myself with the celebration ..........

You are referring to the compass needle behavior, right ? (I hope) (this would be truly new function ........... which I'd like to see)

Or are you talking about the GPS display of your map/direction ? (the configurable setting for this already existed)

Used the new download today for about 100 miles, no issues. Didn't note anything positive or negative actually.

Although I think it's unrelated, my screen no longer dims automatically during hours of darkness. I have to manually adjust that each time I transition from daylight to night time riding and vice versa.

For the Dealer location update you have to use a PC but for the Boom Audio system Software Updates, MACs work just fine or at lest it has for me over the past year and a half.

Yep!

All of the normal Boom Audio updates will work just fine using a Mac.

The Dealer Location Update will not work on a Mac, even though it really should.
Well it will work using a Mac (but you have to run a virtual Windows environment) to make it work.

The map updates that you have to purchase are PC only, but that is because they use a "Windows" only toolbox software, that the other updates don't use.
