I could care less what air cleaner or badges anyone puts on their bike/car/truck. I got more important things on my mind, like would that huge M8 oil cooler fit on my 103.............

That thing sure is ugly. At first, I didn't like the M8 107 air cleaner, but after a few days of looking at it, I'm used to it and plan to leave it as is. It's funny, now whenever I see a TC 103 stock air cleaner, it looks old to me.

Wow, people getting bent outta shape because someone wants to change their air cleaner to a newer style!

Well guess what, I have a 2016FLHTK, it has a 110ci with CVO heads, it also has CVO tank badges, why, because I f'ing can, it's my bike, my money and I can do whatever I want to with it, when asked if it's a CVO, I say no it's not, but it really wouldn't matter what anyone puts on their bike, until YOU pay for it, you have NO say in the matter.

if this actually bothers you then you need a hobby OR were you ripped off once when you bought a chevelle SS and found out it wasn't a REAL SS ???..

furthermore you assume that anyone that installs something from a different model is trying to make their bike/car a fake instead of installing it BECAUSE they like the look of the other models particular part ..

using this logic I guess I tried to make people think my switchback was a street glide because I installed a batwing fairing and street glide air shocks OOOPS or maybe i was trying to make them think it was a crossbones because i installed a crossbones AC , OOOOPS AGAIN or maybe i was trying to make them think it was a softail deluxe because I installed the fender tip and side trim from a deluxe..

FYI
the batwing is better for cold weather riding which I do here all year round when there is no salt on the road

the air shocks were more comfortable than the stock shocks

ADMIT IT crossbones AC looks so much better than the teardrop

and the deluxe tip is the only one that would fit the switchback

as I said above you're not and i'm not making his payments if he has them
or paying his insurance and reg... its his bike and he can do what he wants.

PERSONALLY I worry about MY BIKE and my bike only and anyone that KNOWS Harleys will KNOW HIS BIKE ISNT THE M8 ENGINE

No worries fellas. If someone wants to be a poser it's up to them. If the intent is not to fake it, like some examples given, more power to them. But if the intent is to pass a bike off as something it's not, that's called lying and would be a character flaw in my book. No skin off my back and I won't lose sleep at night. I'll just call people out when I see it and have a little chuckle because it's pathetic.

Back in the day I had an old Pontiac Lemans with 326 badges on it. Under the hood it had a 455. False advertising...lying...cheating? You better believe it !! But oh how heads would turn when those old boys running 350's would jump on her...

That would be the only way it's ok to fake the funk. HAHA!

I can't believe there are grown (possibly) men here arguing about someone wanting to put a different AC on his bike. Then again here I am reading the comments and commenting myself. Sheesh.

I don't care if someone wants to put Cobra badges on their V6 or CVO badges on their Sportster. The only time it's an issue for actual adults is when selling the vehicle. At that point it's always caveat emptor. For the record I think the guy just likes the look or believes the literature that it flows air better. Either way, his bike his decision.
