Default CB Radio and headsets

Well, I have got all of my parts scrounged together as so to install my CB in my '15 SGS; still on the fence on whether or not to run the CD antenna cable to the back and then hide the mast underneath while also having it attached to the J&M Faring Antenna...since I will have the tank off, probably the time to do it (opinions welcome on that BTW). Just need to ride down the fuel so its manageable to remove hehe

I have been looking at headsets- not sure what to get. I want comfort, quality, and price (dont mind paying more for quality). What does everyone recommend? I have a modular helmet (winter helmet), a half helmet (rarely ride that anymore) and my mainstay 3/4 Belfast helmet.

Now all thats left if that Stage 1...so much money, only so much time.

I picked up the one for the half helmet and love it! almost half the price of HD, and it's the same exact thing.

I'm sure it's a matter of choice... I run the J&M 787 elite series in my half helmet and I had the same set installed in my Shoei Neotec from Sierra electronics, both are very good quality.

Taking the tank off even full is a piece of cake, so much easier than the earlier models with the crossover hose.

Before my SGS I had a Slim that had the crossover hose...draining the tank blew goats. HATED pulling the tank. This looks like a snap.

Not sure if this was meant for me or not. I have a street glide. I added the cb radio and 7 pin din communication wire. My bike didn't come with any of that equipment or a headset.

the j&m is a step up but less money on used stock sets in the classified. most importent for good sound is to mount with the speakers as close to your ears as possible.

the ultra and limiteds come with a set lots of guys dont use em and sell em cheep, they dont sound as good as j&m but seen em go for 30-60$. the stockers come with a universal mount may need some rigging for some lids. the j&m are easier to plug in at the lid end.

Anytime you hide the CB antenna, you give up range and power.

I am installing the internal J&M antenna with the shorty CB antenna in the rear on my 2015 RGS when it warms up enough to work on it. I thought it wouldn't hurt to put both antennas on since everything is apart.
