I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking to upgrade to a touring bike. I just needed her to give me that final push.

Nice bike - I have been down that road a few times. Back in 2010 while we were in Sturgis, she saw a new Limited and suggested we buy in when we got home. Again in 2013 when the new bikes came out, we were again in Sturgis and she said she wanted the new Rushmore.

Each time, I picked the bike I wanted and she changed the color and made all of the upgrades (no motor work- just add ons) like backrest, speaker covers, saddlebag guards etc. Heck - who am I to complain

Get with the riding. Wife been riding with me for 41 years. Life is best when she is riding with me. Now park it get out what you need for a trip and figure out how you can pack it. She will need a lot more room than you. But you can get it figured out.
It will take a bit but we can pack for a two week trip with out looking like the Beverly Hill Billy's going down the road.

smithy901 - wife has been riding with me for 37 years. We use to have a trailer - now, everything we need go on the bike - and we have plenty of room.

Regardless of how long we are gone, we always pack for 3 days and wash every three days. Plus, we always pack 1 less shirt for both of us - because we ALWAYS but at least one shirt whenever we go.

I got the 2014 street glide special and then bought the wife a 2016 limited low. And I grew up on sport bikes and I can throw hers deeper into a corner for some reason than I can on mine... thinking when I make the trade to a newer bike to go with a limited... congrats on the new bike... hope you enjoy it... and it is awesome that she wants to start riding with you...
