Nice choice, we love Nashville. Haven't done it in the bike from Chicago yet, but maybe this year.
I think our favorite hotel is not far at all from where you're staying. They also ran a shuttle downtown and back, like every half hour. WAY better than trying to ride and drink. In fact the rides back on the last few shuttles of the night have been some of the most fun. Mini bus full of happy drunks singing along to the radio! And the bus always plays BOTH kinds of music....

I think you'll enjoy Nashville. Grand Ole Opry put on a good show and I'm not a devoted country music fan by any means. Broadway was a blast, with Tootsie's having the best entertainment (2 floors & stages + the roof bar & music). We found Uber less expensive than the hotel shuttle.

While at the distillery it takes about 30 minutes to go thru the tour. After that go down to lynchburg downtown. Head south out of the distillery theres a town square. The bbq is where if suggest going for some good bbq. It a old converted cabous (end of train in case i spelled it wrong). Way better then the coney at the other end. Lynchburg also has a harley dealer. But there just shirts and souvenirs no bikes.

if ya couldnt tell ive been there a few times. Never gets old for me.

Also, Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant for breakfast or lunch. I think we went there 3 times during our last long weekend in Nashville.

Sounds like a great ride.... you are planning just the way I would do it with 2 days each direction. Wife & I were there 2 yrs ago over Thanksgiving & had a ball walking the main drag, listening to a variety of music while indulging in a few cocktails... Have a Great time!!

Always hit Pucketts for dinner. Went one night and 4 old timers where playing. Turned out the organ player was in the CMHF for writing. One guitar player was Billy Swan, one guitar player used to own a recording studio where Elvis recorded very early on. You just never know who you'll see.
