Default Anyone disassemble CD bullet rings?

Since Custom Dynamics only makes chrome and gloss black rings and I need matte black, is it possible to disassemble the lights from the rings at all? If it is, I'll do it and paint them myself. Anyone ever had them apart, or have a set handy they could look over and let me know if they're easily disassembled? Thanks.

Look on ebay. Type in custom dynamics bullet ringz and set it to lowest price. They are selling some that are flat black that were powdercoated flat black instead of gloss black. $49.95.

I disassembled a set and had them power coated, worked fine. They come apart easy, 3 tabs hold the inserts in. just be careful.

Just the empty rings? Or the whole assembly lights and lens and all?

If you damage them and need parts, I have 2 extra that CD warrantied for me. One is just a little loose, works fine, can be super glued. and the other was the 1st replacement and was sent with a broken tab. Both work perfect other than that. Can make you a great deal.

Ok man, thanks! I ordered my tears from eBay, the flat black ones. Still have to order the fronts.

Just an update;

I got my rings and took them apart. They are glued in some spots between the plastic light body and the aluminum ring, and there are 4 tabs that you have to pop out of the outer casing. Took less than 30 seconds to disassemble the second one after I figured out the first one. Use small flat blade screw drivers to pop the tabs past the ring, then use your thumbs to push on the lens and break the glue. Hopefully the LED's are good, I'll test them before I snap these back together.
