I got a set of 14" Factory 47 Assault Bars from a friend. They are brand new. But they are the older style with the peaks at the bottom and top which block the inner fairing from going back into place. I am considering notching the inner fairing to clear the bars but wanted to ask and see if anyone else had done something similar.

 

My friend just did this same thing to get a set of Factory 47 Assault bars and fairing to fit correctly on a SG he was working on. I don't see why you'd have an issue doing it as well. He also noticed that the top clamp of the SG had a somewhat shallow groove, so he replaced it with the top clamp from a Road Glide so it had more surface area to clamp down on the bar.
