Harley Hammock seat

Harley Hammock seat
I'm thinking pretty hard of getting a Mustang tour seat and backrest for my 14 King but on a lark I borrowed a Hammock rider and passenger seat from the dealer to try.
Its better than I expected and I find I like the taller seating position, makes the taller bars work better for me.
My big question is I see they have a Hammock Rider which looks a whole lot like what I would expect if I had a custom seat done for touring and not as thick in the passenger portion.
Anyone have experience with this seat? Did it feel more comfortable than the rider and passenger version, same height?

I put the '14 version of the hammock seat on my Limited. Put 3,800 miles on it. While more comfortable than stock, it's a bit tight for my big a$$, pushing me forward towards the tank.
This spring it's coming off & I'm replacing it with a '13 & earlier hammock. The '14 hammock looks pretty much like the stock seat, while the earlier hammock looks completely different but I think the earlier hammock is more comfortable. H-D says the earlier hammock doesn't fit the '14 models (why idk?). I've recently tried an earlier version hammock on my bike & it seems it will work.
After I get the earlier hammock this spring, the '14 hammock will go up for sale.
btw - the earlier version retails for $50 more than the '14 version.

Earlier version will work on a 14, just not as wide on the passenger pad.
HD doesn't think sometimes. I bought my bike when there was still a lot in the air, and they told me a pre-14 seat absolutely would not fit, so I made them go get one and prove it to me. Guess what? It fit just fine. I have a Corbin Dual Tour from a *gasp* 2011 model on my 14.
The 14 won't work (or will it) on earlier models because it is wider...
