Default Limited gear shift adjustment

Has anyone had to adjust the front toe gearshift lever on the '14 limited? The first time I took the bike out, my boot could barely fit under gear shift. I have adjusted it, but now it seems the front of boot comes in contact with lower fairing. Just seems to not have much space. By the way, I wear a size 10 boot, so figure this is average size.

I wear a size 13 EE and can't get my Fred Flintstone foot underneath it real easy. I'm going to adjust it tonight and see how it goes.

I had the same problem and adjusted the front lever up just a little bit and it fits perfectly.

Is your boot hitting the fairing while shifting?

My foot seems to come in contact with fairing sometimes as I prepare to shift. May be just getting some use to it. I may have adjusted the gear shift too high, so might try and lower it just a tad.

I adjusted both of mine down one spline. I shift up with my heel and down with my toe.

Its what I do as well - Upshift with the heel, downshift with the toe. How does your bike work?

Not sure what's different about the 14's compared to the older ones but I can't find the happy spot for the shifter either. I always remove the heel shifter and only use the toe, but one spline down is too low, and moving it one up is too high. I am getting used to it, just wished it could find a more comfortable location.

Guess I'm lucky. Removed the heal shift, and stock position is fine for me for shift up and down.

Wonder if also repositioning the link at primary side might help the guys that cant find the perfect spot.
