Default 12" ape's installed

Got the ape's on and rode some miles today and it looks, feels and handles better! I need bar mounted mirrors now thought!

Sweet apes. I'm looking at something similar... dealer install or did you do the dirty work?

Don't know why the pics are sideways. Don't know how to fix it either! . I did the install, everything was pretty basic except the wiring did require some patients!

I assume those are yaffe monkey apes.. How do they fell when doing U turns ? Easier ? Harder ? Than stock.. I'm still undecided on 10 or 12" yaffes..

Bike looks fantastic! Got the same bars, unfortunately I haven't ridden yet as we're still in a deep freeze up here, can't wait.

They are not Yaffe's. They are 12" Binford's custom cycles (Meathooks) . Yaffe's 10" seem to be about the same height.

I found the same when looking - Yaffe's seem to run a size bigger than most others. The 10" MBB are the same size (slightly taller) than the HD 12".

I went with 12" HD bars and had to swap out mirrors, and did the job myself. The MBB are better route in my opinion, but wasn't sure if I could get away with the swap without changing out clutch and/or brake line.

Bike feels way more stable and easier to control in low speed turns. your leverage point it so much better when your arms are up alittle and I believe your balance is better too.
