Default 2014 Am/FM Antenna splitter???

Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows , or has installed a splitter on back of their radio ( am/fm)
I purchased a hidden antenna and tour pak quick disconnect. I am not really sold 100% on the hidden antenna, some days everything comes in great others not so good. So i was thinking when I have the tour pak on it would be graet to use the whip antenna as well..Any Thoughts???

Interesting? I haven't actually opened up the faring yet to inspect connections. What type of splitter are you thinking of? I had the hidden antenna installed at the time of purchase of my SGS because I upgraded speakers and amp, and knew that I was getting a detachable tour pak. I am interested in how much radio reception I sacrificed. Sounds like an interesting idea. Let us know if you try something and the results it achieves.

I thot about adding my stock antenna (I had it under the seat trick) if you aren't to scared all you need to do is cut the wiring from the 2 antennas and solder them together,,,, it seems a lot harder/spookier then it is. The 14's antenna connection isn't like the older stuff but its just as simple. Ground line and center frequency line

Default Y-splitter

I had the same question, can i use the whip antenna with the J&M hidden. I've researched this a little and believe this item will allow for that to be done.
FAKRA y-splitter on Ebay. Item number 221447205156 from seller gccreeker. I looked at the connection on the J&M and the stock whip harness and they should plug in the two ends of the antennas and the third leg off the y splitter will plug into the radio. I have not ordered this yet so i cant confirm for sure.

I installed a hidden antenna last summer. The reception doesn't seem any worse or better than the regular antenna which is spotty at best. I didn't like getting whipped in the face every time I walked around the back of the bike.

I did install a set of saddlebag lights like the op which I really like.

That's what I did. Bought a Fakra splitter & plugged my factory whip into it & J&M hidden in the fairing into it. Seems to work ok.
