Default Stage 1? New to Harley

So from what I understand, stage 1 is intake, exhaust, and either a download or a programmer.

I have ordered the Vance and Hines fp3. I am planning on de-catting my head pipe and picking up some twin slash round slip ons.

What about the intake? I heard that on my 14 Street glide special the intake is good enough for stage 1, is that correct?

yes the intake is fine. Have you already purchased the FP? If not, take a look at the power vision and the TTS master tuner.

When I bought mine last fall I went stage one from the dealer.Street cannons,Intake and their tune.I will agree I should have gone with the Power Commander I also believe the more air you allow in the more you can pack into those jugs.the more air the better the burn.

Fuelmoto makes a stage 1 ac for our bikes. Look for the link in my signature to bring you to there website. They say it flows 47% more air then the stock 14 ac.

Yes, I ordered the fp3 from kutter. That is all I have so far. My salesman is selling me a take off head pipe to de-cat. For 35 bucks. Figured I'd keep my original intact.

Ok, so I will pick up the twin slash rounds and give it a try. If I'm not happy I'll grab a different a/c.

I went with the fp3 because I don't plan on going past stage 1. No need on a touring bike - it's not a crotch rocket. I mainly am doing the stage 1 to richen it up.

If that's what you want, get a tuner, and don't screw with the pipes and AC.

If you ARE going to do a "stage 1", why would you not do an AC? That is the inexpensive part...
