Default Slip-ons Deep Sound

Harley is trying to comply with government and has these 2014's kinda toned down too much for me ... sounds like a Honda. Iam just planning stage 1 FP3 A/C and slip-ons.. stock catted head pipe for the time being. I looking for the deep loud tone . I understand it won't be all that loud with the Cats. After listening to many bikes and sound clips Iam not sure anymore. I was leaning toward the CFR's but heard they have a torque dip which is too difficult to tune out and I don't want to lose performance for sound. Any suggestions?

I saw an ad for a new muffler from Tailgunner called the Tritons. They say they are the deepest best sounding slip ons on the market. I haven't heard or seen them in person but they have sound bites on the website. I adjusted my speakers so their stock soundbite sounded right. Then played their soundbite for the Tritons. They sound awesome. Super deep and a little louder than stock.

I still like the sound of the CFR better. I'm going to look in to this CFR dropping hp.

I have had dozens of mufflers and these have great tone and performance.

I also like the Kury Crushers.

Correct on hard to tune the CFR muffs.

The new CFR are great exhaust. All of the new ones come with baffle installed so they dont loose HP. I have had CFR for 10 years and they still look great. They are an awesome deep tone and easy to tune. I just installed a new set on a bike with V&H powerduals and stage 1. Bike gained 10hp and 14lb torque. CFR are not hard to tune at all.

I just put CFR's with Jackpot head pipes on my new limited and I love them. I've had a Vance and Hines Pro Pipe and Duals in the past. Ive also had friends with various other exhaust and these are the best sounding Ive heard yet. I did a stage 1, full exhaust and SE race tuner and the bike made 90 hp and 110lbs torque. I'm happy. For now.

Although I've changed my stock exhaust system, I thought the 2014s sounded great off the showroom floor compared to previous years models...

I just put them on my FLHTK and my buddies with V&H and Rinehart are in aww. They sound great, nice low growl. I've noticed no performance change. What's nice, if you take the bike through the stages, they have multiple baffles to accommodate.

it's a personal thing when it comes to what sound you are looking for. I personally like my RCXhaust. deep sound, custom tips, and not too loud so you can still hear the radio and passenger.
