Biggest mistake I hear with 944's is not setting them heavy enough. People think they are riding stiff, when in truth they're bottoming & running on the bump stops. Start from the stiffest position & work your way softer, not the other way around.

I have the heavy springs, I'm 230..... I have them adjusted to 3 lines showing.

Give it some time... you'll like them.

Thanks for the tip. I've got them set at 2 lines showing. A friend is coming over to help me measure tomorrow. We'll see how that sets up. But I think you're right, I'm going to have to fiddle with them until it feels right. Already went for a ride tonight with the new settings and a huge difference was noticed. Tight, but controlled. Some others have said there's a breakin period. I'll give it time.

Great thread as I am considering putting my 944's on my 14 Limited. I had the 944's on my 09 Street Glide and put the stock air shocks back on when I traded the Street Glide. I'm just okay with the stock air shocks on the Limited, and in fairness, I have not been able to put a lot of miles on the bike (bought it "used" in October 2015 with 811 miles). I have the 944's in a box on the shelf. I was very happy with them on the Street Glide, but that bike came lowered. I am concerned about any clearance issues going to a lower shock. Any thoughts?

The Limited Low and the Ultra Low come with 12" shocks from the factory, no problems.

Which Ohlins shocks did u put on your ultra.
i have a 2015 ultra classic low and I was thinking about the 12" (which are 11") to
replace the stock shocks. I am hearing the Ohlins might be better. I am only 5' 2" tall
and would like to lower a little, but don't wanna harder ride than it is.

If anyone else is having this problem please let me know!!
Thanks
My lowering kit came with fatter washers to space the shocks out a little. I have no isues with the shocks hitting the bags. sounds like either the kit you had used too fat a washer or the guy that installed did it wrong. Might want to check his work you could easily replace the top shock washes with something a little thinner.
Good luck......Mike

This may have been stated here - but just in case. I have a 2014 Ultra Limited. Talked to Progressive about the 944s - was told, they are OK for the Road Glide but, if you put them on a limited, you should install them upside down.

Hey, just passing along what they told me - you can call them directly.
