Default Lindby Magnum Bar BL1702

I just tried to install my new Lindby Magnum bar engine guard on my 14 Street Glide but it doesn't fit. the top mount has a floating nut on it, I put that on then I bolted the right side as if sitting on bike. But the left hole on engine guard doesn't match up with frame hole to mount it to and it hits the left foot rest when trying to line it up.

Has anyone else bought this engine guard and had this trouble?
The specs say it fits 07- present FLHX models.

If it reads '07-present, it's probably not going to fit.

I would say the description was probably from '08.

In 2009 the touring line underwent a major frame update, and generally speaking, not much crosses over from 2008 to 2009.

If your description was '09-present... different story.

I looked it up, and you are correct, Dennis Kirk shows it fitting touring models from basically 1997 on...

But Harley's website shows 2 different part numbers for engine guards, one '08 down and 13-14 CVO Road Kings, and the other for '09 up touring.

Sorry 1997-2014 but it still should fit.
It should have been an easy install.
They say the 2014 had a lot of changes to it, did they modify the bikes frame?

Returned Lindby Magnum bar and bought the Harley mustache bar and had no issues installing it, I don't understand it.
Lindby told me to bend the bar to fit, I don't think so, buyers beware!

Huh that doesn't seem like very good customer support.

Damn!! Wish I had found this one before ordering this bar. Just got mine today and sure enough it does not fit my 2014 flhx. The low side mount hole does not line up with frame. The Lindby sit shows model 1702 as fitting the 2014 bikes but it obviously does not. I'd love to hear of someone that got one of these on a 2014 touring. Guess I'll be sending mine back as well.

Not the Magnum bar, but I installed a regular Linbar (#BL102-1/09) on my '14 SGS this weekend and it went on OK. I put the center bolt on first only threading it a few times, then did the lower right one and last the lower left. I had to push down a bit on the bar to get it to line up but nothing major. Probably 10 minutes to remove the old and bolt up the new.
