Default Service Manual

I currently have a Service Manual for 2011 Touring models, are things that much different on the 2014 models to warrant purchasing a new service manual? I prefer to do the service work myself (I did all on my 11 FLHX) and want to continue to do the same on the 2014. Thoughts? If any, what are the differences between the 2 manuals? Thanks in advance.

There are some things that are different i.e. belt tension markers on bike, derby cover bolt sequence, how much oil to add initially etc. Not sure if is worth buying new manual or not. I did, but that's just me.

I was using a 2010 Service manual but when I started toying with my 2014, I sold that one here on this site and got a 2014 service and parts manuals I think it's worth the difference

I always buy the manuals current to my bike, without exception. Money well spent.

What he said. Especially when the wiring is involved.

Personally I would/did purchase the new manual, because I did not want to second guess what is, or what is not different from the previous years. I look at it like this, its fun to wrench on our bikes, sometimes its a headache sometimes things go as planed, if it happens to be one of those headache days are you going to want to guess if it was your mechanical ability or did the wrong year manual give you the wrong information.

It's a whopping $65. Just buy the new one!

Spend the $60.

You can sell your existing manual on eBay, or any classifieds, for a reasonable price.

I just sold 7 or 8 Service manuals that I no longer had a need for. I kept them around as reference...

It would probably bug me to not have current model manual, but aside from wiring there isn't a whole lot different that matters (most likely). I don't think there is anywhere online that's a comprehensive list of
Differences.
