I'd like to darken up my bike too but damn all that chrome sure is pretty...

Thanks everyone!

It was a 2 day project, and friggin hot in the garage. pulled it apart, and dipped. It will give me a good opportunity to see if I like it, before spending any money.

The head and spot lamps are a $1000 option, but the 14 FLHTK came stock with chrome ones, I knew a guy selling the black ones, and I knew another guy wanting chrome... I became a middle man, and it cost me $20 shipping.


I did the wheels, B pillar and all badges on my truck 8 months ago, and everything is holding and looks good as new, and I run it through the regular brush car wash...

How hard was it to get the lowers off to get at the crash bar?

I figured that took you a while with as many parts as you did. Must have made quite a mess too.

Left the lowers on, removed the crashbar...

I'm like one of those guys that jerks the tablecloth from under the china...
