Default Street Glide vs Road Glide

Hello everyone I currently ride a 2006 Harley sportster 883 but I am looking for more comfort for longer rides as well as the capacity of taking some travel items on longer trips and also to carry an extra passenger along sometimes. So which model would you choose and what would be the reason for your choice i like them both just to hard to choose would it be the Bat wing or the shark nose I'm open to all opinions . Thanks

Before all the batwingers post theirs is the best and likewise the Road Gliders, just go test ride both.

I agree with the above statement. Pick what you like. Your paying for it.

I rude a Street Bob and am very happy with it, but in November I'm doing a 1400 mile ride from LA to Cabo on a Street Glide, just to see how I like it.

I have ridden a street glide and loved it the road glide seems a bit heavier .

Other than a frame mounted fairing vs a fork mounted fairing.....they are the exact same bike. Some say the Road Glide handles a little better up on the super slab due to the frame mounted fairing not effecting steering input, but they also say crosswinds do effect the handling. I personally ride a Street Glide and have never felt any negative feedback from the batwing except for extreme crosswinds.

But when it really comes down to it....it's mostly about looks and style. You can't go wrong either way.

I have a SGS Love it. I too heard how the RG is more stable in the wind
when I was choosing. This hasn't been a issue to me on my SGS. Its freight train stout.
I personally like the dash a whole lot better on the SGS and think the fairing not turning with you would be weird. Im sure its not a issue once you get used to it.
Im sure you will enjoy either one so flip a coin or pick the one that you think looks the best. One thing about a RG at least where I live there are about 5 SG for every 1 RG... so If you want to be a little different....

Based on looks I personally think the street glide wins but I'm guessing in any windy day both bikes will be affected somehow .
