Default You learn something new every day.

I've had my '14 limited for 11 months now. In that time, I've racked up nearly 10,000 miles and thought I was comfortable and knowledgable on the features and benefits of the bike.

Last night, I'm sitting on it performing the infotainment center software update and I notice what look like a couple little ***** on the lower fairings.

I reach down and realize they are levers to open and close the lower fairing vents.

Up until now, I had opened or closed them manually before I took off on a ride.

Whodathunkit.

Yes, i had my SGS for two months and during a detail i noticed a rubber plug on the right side of the fairing, it was 12v charging jack, i thought that's cool.

Huh? How did you open and close them manually before a ride if you didn't know about the levers?

I opened and closed them by moving the vent itself. (Always while thinking it was dumb to not be able to work them from the saddle). I do feel kind of stupid and am wondering if I can use this instance to get at least a partial refund on my college education. Lol.

I could swear that the fairing charging/cigarette lighter socket used to be on the left side of the batwing. But I am getting older.
