Metzeler 888 Marathon Radial tires update
Got about 1000 miles now on my new set of Metzeler 888 radial tires and wanted to give an update.
Yesterday I rode the south and east side of Lake Coeur d'Alene in Idaho which is about 70 miles of tight hairpins and hill climbs. This is the second time I have done this on my Limited, once with the stock tires and now with these 888's.
I was able to go much faster with more confidence this time. These tires are fantastic in cornering, grip like nothing else I have used and smooth as can be. I am convinced that with the steel belt and radial design I am getting much more tire surface on the road. It has made the heavy Limited much more effortless to drive. Will always buy these now, best upgrade I have done on the bike thus far.
Last time I rode the route on stock tires I was sore, not this time. The ride back on Interstate 90 at 75mph was also more relaxed as these tires give the rider a lot of confidence. Highly recommend going to these radials over the bias ply.
