Take a look at this. I wasn't using anything as coarse as steel wool and the cleaner/polish was non-abrasive and designed for chrome. As I mentioned earlier, I have used the same stuff on this bike and two others over the years.

I called Rush and spoke with Ryan, who said he would call me back. Instead of calling, he sent me an email explaining that the issue is not covered under warranty, while bragging that their chrome is superior to Harley's and others. I called back and spoke to Adam, who is Ryan's boss, and he basically repeated the same story.

This is the second set of Rushes that I've owned -- I had a pair most recently on my FLSTC. If you look at my posts, you'll see that I have always been favorable about Rush products and I am not trolling here . . . just reporting the facts. I was surprised at how quickly Rush blew me off given their gilded reputation here.

Caveat emptor applies, as always.

Just got mine (2.5 baffles) 2 weeks ago, got 300mi on, everything else is stock so far... Happy with the sound, but would like it louder....and I have some popping. What works best with it(headers, fp,...V&H, breather? next step? Thanks. (Just need some suggestions, since we are talking about Big Louie slip ons)

That pic doesn't look like scratches to me... but it's a pic, and hard to tell.

Since we both live in the "Northern Hemisphere", I'd love for you to stop by so I can see that in person.

Try 0000 steel wool and Windex on that. Don't push hard, but try it. If what you have are scratches, you can't hurt it, right?

The secret is to wet the chrome good with Windex, and also wet the wool, then follow up with another wetting of Windex, and wipe clean with a paper towel.

And be sure to use 0000, it's pretty fine.

I wouldn't steer you wrong.
