No, that was fixed with the new frame in 2009.

I thought so too, but I saw in a magazine article that the 09 & newer still need a "bagger brace"

I couldn't agree more. Me and the wife just went for a ride (on our '12 Ultra)to HD Dealer to see progress on new building he was doing, had NO intention or desire to try the new "Rushmore". After a half hour of talking to Sales guy on the upgrades over '12 we said ok "let's take it for a quick spin" Wife almost I re-peat, ALMOST banged me upside the head for even thinking about it.
After we got back from the ride she ask me what color do we want! Gotta love her! There was that much of a noticeable difference.

I upgraded from a '12 Limited to my '14 and I'm still amazed at how much better this bike is so far. I seriously doubt you would be disappointed coming from a 2008. The Infotainment definitely has a learning curve, but I generally just use the radio anyway.

I was planning on doing an extensive review on my 2014 SGS in a couple of days, but here are some quick thoughts...

Engine is more powerful. Had a '08 FLHTC that I had added done some power work. The SGS is stronger even with no work done.

Handling is a dream. It goes where pointed with no wobble and no fuss.

Premium suspension is a huge upgrade from the air shocks.

I will be putting on a Cee Devil windshield because the wind noise gets to be too much over 70. (I had a clearview recurve on the the last bike.)

I am a very happy owner. Harley has really produced a winner!

My only real complaint about my '14 ultra is that I didn't get the Limited model but the colors available just didn't do it for me--great bike-quite an upgrade from the '85

I recently traded my '11 FLHX for the '14 FLHXS. Had no intention to, as I was going to do cam upgrades this winter. Went into dealership "just to test out" the Rushmore cams. Not only was the riding experience totally different, I wanted the '14. Yes, the cams make a HUGE leap in low end torque (the fun kind), but the handling rivals any bike I've tested...including touring BMWs. After a month of owning, I still smile on the new bike when it reminds me how superior it is to my '11.

I moved from an 09 Ultra to a 14 Limited. I already had a bike with the "new frame" so I didn't really expect much change in the handling. I was very surprised by the improved handling that resulted from the front end upgrades. The first time my wife rode, she told me over and over that the bars in front of the bags no longer hit her calves. That coupled with the extra room in the passenger seat and she was a happy passenger. I was also surprised by the power. I had just sold a 2012 Fatboy so I had ridden a 103 quite a bit, but the HO 103 on the Limited was a pleasant surprise. All in all, I am thrilled with the 14 Limited.
