Default This is a first for me.

I noticed a small nail in the rear tire today. Tire pressure is still normal so there is no obvious leak. Believe it or not, I have never experienced a nail or flat of any kind in my last three bikes. What is the repair protocol? Inner patch, plug, tube, etc.?

I would get some mushroom plugs and do it myself. Other than that, take it in and have them patch from the inside. I would not run a tube.

Or if you're lucky, it's a tack, not a nail & it didn't penetrate the carcass...

If you have the wheel and tire warranty, take it in. I don't like to plug or patch my motorcycle tires, that's just me.

Tire & Wheel Warranty.

If you didn't buy it, you will now get to pay for most of it.

Time for a new tire.

I wouldn't patch or plug a motorcycle tire... but that's just me.

I'm not sure my salesman offered me a tire/wheel warranty. Is it part of the extended coverage, which I did purchase, or is it separate coverage?

Pull out the copy of your extended warranty and see if the box is checked below a title that says "Select optional coverage" and a check box that says Tire and Wheel Coverage/Unlimited mileage. If its checked you have wheel and tire coverage.
