What is the part number for this tank emblem?

 

62178-11 & 62179-11

There are authentic ones on ebay. Might get them cheaper there.

 

 

Looks good. I've been thinking about swapping the same ones on my SGS but it had denim paint and not sure what the paint will look like underneath the factory emblems. You can buff clear coat paint but not denim.

Are they self adhesive? How hard to install?

 

Nice change. Its amazing what a tank emblem can do to the look of a bike. I disliked the long *** block lettering on mine, I debadged it.

 

I appreciate the information. However, are you sure this is correct? 62178-11 & 62179-11? And I am not doubting your word, but nothing shows up anywhere except eBay! Do you have a pic of the package? Ordered some with this part number? Surdyke & Boardtracker do not show 62178-11 &62179-11 as being valid part numbers.

The first seller gives the part number, but shows no pic of the package. The second seller does not give the part number in the description and goes so far as to block out the number on the picture of the package. My theory is that the first seller purposely gives the wrong part number to throw off anyone (such as myself) trying to crack the code and bust the eBay scam? I could very well be wrong? But if the one guy can sell over a hundred of them, he must have a steady supply of the badges. These guys are no doubt making a killing off of these tank badges.

When I read the title though it reminded me of the kids who put BMW "//M" emblems on non M series cars - like the rusted out //M 318i's down in the Bronx...
