I had the recall done the second week after announcement and I noticed a couple of spots on the inner fairing of my SG but didn't think much about it. Then this weekend after a 200 mile ride I was cleaning the bike up and noticed I could not wipe the spots of the fairing and noticed a run that looked the same from under the speaker to the bottom edge of the inner fairing. It appears the tech splashed clutch fluid on the fairing and it is now stained! It's not real noticeable but I can see it and I know it's there and not from anything I did. It pisses me off and I think I'm going to visit my dealership to see if they offer any type of repair of compensation for damaging my inner fairing. My bet is they will not want to do anything! Am I over reacting?

I feel your pain Webo. My bike was the first recall my dealer did several weeks ago. I happened to be there when UPS delivered the parts and they offered to do it right away since the Service Manager needed something for his tech to do. The tech spilled fluid across the control and it now has a permanent stain on it. I called the Service Manager and road in to show it to him. He quickly offered to replace the control and make it right. The problem is the MoCo doesn't have the part in stock so I have to wait till the end of the month. Pisses me off. I can still ride but it makes me irritated every time I look at it. After they fix it, it will be the last time my bike ever sees that dealership again.

Take it back and make them fix it. I'll bet they have dealt with the problem with other people also.
