Default My Rushmore was on the shoulder of the highway today with my toolkit out.

...Because my friend's 2008 stripped a shifter shaft, and wouldn't shift.

I got him going, and brought him to my garage, where I had an extra shifter.

My Rushmore performed perfectly all day.

I was going to say, "What, couldn't wait to get all the way home before you installed the new bling?"

Well done - how did you fix it to get him to your garage?

Had me thinking what could one fix on a 14 agreed nicely played. Funny this is a topic. I was talking with serv mgr when I dropped my bike off. We were talking about side of the road repairs. He only uses the front shifter but carries the rear one with him just for this situation.

lucky you had a tool kit.

I hear HD is considering NOT including a tool kit with Bikes now.
Another way for them to save $$$.
I am on the HD advisory panel and this is one of their new ideas.
Kinda like using china parts for the hydraulic clutch!
