Hello everyone! I'm from CT, near the Derby area. I'm fairly new the to HD community and looking for some meet up and ride groups, as well as some nightly bike meets. Anyone that has experience with earlier feel free to point me in the right direction.

Don't know many people that ride in winter like I do. In summer people meet at Whole Foods in Danbury, near the old Marcus dairy on weekend mornings. Also people meet up in Southbury by the Starbucks. Join a HOG chapter. I haven't yet but am thinking its a good way to network.

 

I've heard of these HOG Chapters but aren't to clear on exactly how they work. I'm mainly looking for a group of people to cruise with once the weather warms up. I go on cruises in the winter if the weather isn't too bad as well.

 

I believe the Heavenly Donuts shop (on Rt. 34 in front of Walmart) has Sunday "cruise afternoons" in the spring/summer/fall.

Only a couple of buildings away, the Valley Diner may have bike nights once a month...

 

Ilive in Milford but usually ride alone. But here are some suggestions for you: The Cyclegear in Orange usually has bike nights during the summer. You can join the Harley Hogs thru Brothers Harley in Branford. The HOGS usually have weekly saturday/sun rides during spring/summer/fall. Go to brothersharley.com and link to the hogs. And finally there is a Yahoo Group called Free to Ride you can sign up for through Yahoo.com. You'll have to set up an account but search for Free to Ride...There's a batch of folks in Fairfield and New Haven Counties that ride regularly. HOpe this helps. frannieannie.
