Default Marcy Dairy Redo?

3 more Mondays til Spring! Anyone know if riders are still meeting up at the old Marcus Dairy location? I stopped there a few years ago to meet up with some riders at the Panera Bread and there was about 30 bikes there.

I don't think there are as many as Marcus used to draw but there is a pretty regular bunch of riders showing up there on Sundays.

I had a brown Z1 and rode with my buddy who had a blueish 75 also. After a few years, I was riding a 77 KZ1000 bored to 1150, high lift Crane cam, heads done, journals on the crank were welded, 29 mm smooth bores running velocity stacks and had a Murry 4 into 1 exhaust and very rarely had the baffle installed Those were the days.

Is that by Rutt's Hutt or the Tick Tock Diner on Route 3?

If you are asking about Marcus Dairy, it was located in Danbury, CT. Back in the day, I would head on up there for the Super Sundays.

Yeah it was a pretty cool event. I think the mall helped kill it.

It was a viable meet for many years after the mall was built. The owners of the Dairy property could no longer resist the financial worth of their land. I was first there in 1984, prior to the "Super 7" roadway extensions, and Backus Ave exits were built. Cops rarely patrolled by the parking lot, and there was a lot of high speed passes and burnouts. No vendors back then, except maybe "The Ice Cream Man from Hell" (I still have my tee shirt).

Unfortunately Marcus Dairy has been closed for a few years now. I live 15 minutes away and went almost every Sunday. I think they have a Super Sunday at the local college but I haven't been there in years.
