Default NJ Inspection Sticker????

Hey everyone in NJ,
Whats the deal with the inspections for the bikes now?
my inspection sticker is comming up. Do I not need inspection now?
should I scrape off the expired sticker off my liscense plate?

Someone let me know please.

No inspections are required. You can leave the sticker or peel it off, your choice.

Actually, the letter I got from the DMV said as of August of last year, there would be no more annual inspections for motorcycles and that you were supposed to remove the inspection sticker from your plate.

NO MORE STATE INSPECTIONS FOR MOTORCYCLES! - You are expected to keep your ride up to state standards. The sticker should be removed from the plate (lots of luck with that). Watch out!! This opens up a whole new can of possible worms. It sets the stage for road side inspections!

that's my guess anyway...

That's my fear. at least in my town and surrounding towns all the cops wave to me when I pass. I have no clue why.

I know some of the cops and I stick out like a sore thumb so maybe thats why.

oh and all the cops around here have bikes too.

Its now your responsibility to make your machine road worthy.Fines are now quit steep for violations found.Three violations in a stop bike towed and impounded.You gotta love it.Jersey and you perfect together.

middletown has been bustin bikers since they cancelled the inspections and in one day last october handed out over 2 hundred tickets to just motorcycle riders in one day
