Took Rt 22 in NY from Amenia north for the first time. Much better ride than CT Rt 7. 7 is pretty good, but too much traffic, especially on weekends. Went up 22 to 22A to VT on tuesday. Incredible ride!! No traffic, smooth roads and beautiful scenery. Must do this again soon. Maybe I'll go up 7,hook up with 22 and try it north to south. Thanks, all for the great info on this route.

This week the wife and I are heading up 7 to 4 to 341 to 22 north and going to East Dorset VT. Don't know which way we are heading back. Riding 30,11 and few roads up there.

My daughter went to college just outside of Rutland made the trip on the bike many times... would take 22 north to NY Rte 7 which goes NE to Bennington, then take VT 7A or 7 to Rutland... Rte 11 to 100 North is a nice ride also..

You can ride Rt. 22 all the way up to Rouse's Point and the Canadian border. Or alternate with 22 and 9 for part of the way.

Then take 7 back down...

What a nice day for a ride. Took Rt63 to Rt7 to Rt44 to Rt8 south to Waterbury. Next week gonna take Rt7 into Massachusetts, then west to Rt22. Stop at the pull off for a cigar. Anybody in the Waterbury area ride during the week. My riding buddy has reach the age where his stamina is weaning. He can ride for about an hour. I usually ride about 3 or 4. I work weekends, and am off when most people work. Not easy finding people to ride with.

Probably took my last ride of the season today. Filled the tank an added stabil. Unless a really nice day comes along, my season is over.

Thanksgiving is for the family and you would have to have a death wish to ride on Black Friday or Saturday.

I'm not yet.... with how mild it's been so far there will still be some days to get out... I was out yesterday, and if things dry out this morning I'll take another ride today...
